last week i booked 3 tickets for the "Elmo! Ready for Action" sesame street live show on brandon's saturday "day off". i must have counted wrong, because i booked the tickets a week AFTER his actual day off. killing me. of course, this was my fault. so i finally was able to contact ticketmaster through email today to correct this problem. i was hoping to get my tickets changed to the saturday before - on brandon's actual day off. i got a response shortly after telling me that it was against their policy for any cancellations, refunds, or exchanges. that makes sense, i thought to myself. otherwise there would be heaps of people such as myself constantly trying to change reservations or requesting refunds. what kind of business are they trying to run here? they're not wal-mart where satisfaction is guaranteed!as i read further in the email, they stated that they will make this "one-time exception" to their policy and will allow me to change my ticket dates!! yay! they gave me the new assigned seat numbers, price of tickets (same price that i had originally paid), and asked me to email confirmation that i accept these seats. i was so pleased with the "exception made on my behalf" that i quickly emailed back and let them know the new arrangements were fine.
after my excitement of the exception wore off, i thought i should probably check where these new seats were located. to my utter disbelief, i discovered that they're on the top balcony level four rows back and all the way on the left side of the auditorium! not cool... i paid regular price for crappy seats. and now we're stuck with the "exception" they gave us.
lessons learned:
1. triple check your husband's day off
2. quadruple check offered assigned seating. boooo...

harm harm harm...wouldn't it have been easier if brandon changed the day off instead since it was ahead of notice? that's too bad...you know you could sell and buy tickets on craigslist. my friend just bought some on craigslist and got a good deal. just a suggestion=)
