stuck but chillin'

rumor had it that there was an oil spill in waiahole and so the police closed the road both ways. i had left work early for dentist & haircut appointments in town and was on my way home when i ran into what seemed like an endless line of cars.

it's times like these that i'm so grateful for the beauty of modern technology & drive thru windows...i can be caught in 2-3 hours of traffic on kam. hwy. without feeling a constant impulse to pull my hair out. thanks to my iphone, a KFC meal, and a lovely caribbean passion by my side, i was a happy camper during the long wait. i was able to play a few games, make a few calls, finish my lunch, and fill my belly all within the comfort of my mom's nissan. thank goodness for traffic jams!

Strange as it sounds, I miss the traffic jams. There was something kind of fun about being stuck in the car with so many other people. Glad you were able to enjoy it.

Lol! Good on you, finding the silver lining lol I miss home, but I was never fortunate enough to hear about the traffic jam before thinking to stop for food... that's probably what happens when you listen to the ipod instead of the radio (hey, I will always remember and love you for introducing me to the ipod, btw).

I have to disagree with Elizabeth. That's when I don't miss Hawaii. So sorry you had to go through that! LOL
