brandon was asleep in the bedroom, and ahonui was wide awake with me in the living room. i figured that since we were both awake, i would get some chores done around the apartment.
*side note: is it only me, or is true for everyone that piles of laundry are a never-ending insurmountable task?
anyway, brandon had already folded two basketfuls of clothes earlier that night. then i tried to begin a third load but ahonui wanted my attention as well. so i changed the TV channel to TLC...and lo, and behold - there was a jon & kate plus 8 late night marathon playing.
i've watched the show before, but lately, it has been somewhat of an addiction for me! i know, i know, it's pretty wierd to be addicted to a TV reality show about a family of multiples, but i can't help myself.
...and believe it or not, ahonui seems to enjoy watching the show too! i think he likes to see the little sextuplets play and interact with each other. so lastnight while i folded clothes, he sat next to me on the couch and just watched the show like a good little boy. i suppose the show has become more and more interesting to ahonui lately because once he notices that it's on, he will suddenly calm down and sit still (for a little while anyway). i'd like to think of the show as a good friend because not many things can work calming-wonders like that for ahonui these days.
i also love the show because kate gives me ideas (or more accurately, hopes & dreams) on how to be organized with a budget, activities, meals, and so much more. she has become a role model for me as a mother with young children. i admire her ability to plan fun activities for their 8 children, make all of their organic meals at home without going to fast food chains, budget a grocery shopping list with coupons, and still be a sane person! some people may call her "irritz" or a "control freak" - i call it amazing!

hey by the end of the season, you will be a pro and then can start having lots of babies-maybe even multiples!!=)ahhaha and then ahonui can have a friend to play with at 12am other than his friend tv=) hehehe..jus playin'
i agree about what you wrote at the end...that mother of 8 is ocd, but she is sure an amazing woman. i told chris that only a person with ocd could handle that many kids all at once and that's probably why they were chosen to have six at one time. anyway, john & kate plus 8 rocks and i'm on board with you as far as being a slight addict. :)
well, i don't love the show, and i don't hate it. i've seen it a few times and to be honest, that lady nags a little too much for my liking...its amazing though the things she can accomplish! props to tha woman! and to the daddy...but anyway, ahonui is too cute!! give him a big kiss for me...i miss him!
I've never heard of the show but it certainly sounds like she must be amazing. If any of her tips work for you, let me know. I'd love to figure out how to be an organized mother of one.
`ahh....Jon & Kate plus 8! I love that show! She is amazing and so is he! Their kids are so friggin adoreable too!
