the other day as i was on my way to pick up ahonui from my in-laws i was listening to an advertisement on the radio. a man was saying that he was a doctor and that if you wanted to be "well", to come see him...yada yada yada. how interesting, i thought to myself. isn't that what all doctors are for? to create a sense of well-being for their patients? supposedly this doctor (i can't remember his name), creates a diet plan, exercise routine, and advises how to keep a stress-free environment for you to be "well".
since it is common knowledge that common sense isn't so common - i wondered whether this man is very successful in his business. i thought that it's common sense to eat right, exercise and to avoid stress in order to be well. do we honestly need to pay someone to tell us this? i think it would more accurately be put as - we need to pay someone to make us be well. we need a pusher - well, more accurately - I need a pusher.
i know what i'm supposed to be doing to be healthy, but my will power is simply non-existent. how pathetic. this is the first year that i made it a new year's resolution to exercise and eat right...and i'm sure millions of people make this same resolution every year. but i really want to keep this one and stick to it. it's not just being on a diet, and i really don't want to look at it that way either. it should just be a way of life for me, and i would like to be able to make it a lifelong thing for ahonui as well (since brandon has got the whole "healthy" thing down already). my new lifestyle goes into effect monday.
anyone willing to help push?
